This week I focused on a report from the National Audit Office that called out the Government's approach to contracting during the first stage of the COVID-19 crisis. There was a lack of transparency, poor or non-existent record-keeping, and a failure to safeguard against conflicts of interest. I'll be investigating with the Public Accounts Committee in December. Click here to read the report in full.

I also guested on the Transport Select Committee looking at the busted railway franchising model and what plans the Government has to replace this broken model. See here to watch a recording of the hearing.

And on Monday during a hearing of the Public Accounts Committee I raised, again, the issue of the forgotten freelancers, particularly those in the creative industries. These individuals have not received a penny of support since the beginning of the crisis. The Government needs to act. See here for a recording of the session.
