This week, the Prime Minister faced a vote of confidence by his MPs. Although a majority of Conservative MPs voted in support of the Prime Minister, over 40 per cent confirmed that they do not have confidence in his leadership. This is a damning indictment of a government in shambles, with eyewatering backlogs in the immigration system, the NHS, and the courts.

Today, the Public Accounts Committee published our report on the Department of Health and Social Care's annual accounts. We highlighted that £4 billion of unusable PPE will be burnt to generate power. This is taxpayers' money going up in smoke. You can read the report here. This follows a long list of failures in the Government's management of the pandemic. 

I was delighted to be out and about in Hackney during the Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend. It was fantastic to catch up with everyone at the Pedro Club and the E5 Baby Bank at the Clapton Community Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
